Community-led habitat restoration and science-driven monitoring in the Lendoiya–Kisimiri wildlife corridor linking Arusha NP, Mount Meru, and Kilimanjaro NP
People and wildlife can thrive, when we restore the land together.
WH Nature supports community-led restoration across the wildlife corridor, fostering coexistence through eco-tourism, traditional arts and crafts, reforestation, and other nature-positive innovations. We empower households to earn from conservation and cultural heritage while using science-based monitoring to guide policy and investment. With your support, once-fragmented landscapes become living pathways for elephants—and a source of pride and opportunity for local communities.
What We Do
Restore Corridor Habitats
We partner with landowners to re-wild degraded plots using native trees and natural regeneration, creating continuous wildlife passage without displacing people. Each site follows a simple stewardship plan with measurable targets for canopy cover, soil health, and wildlife use.
Strengthen Livelihoods
We help households shift to nature-positive incomes—eco-tourism, beekeeping, and culturally rooted enterprises that align with restoration. Through training and market access, communities earn more from protecting nature than from converting it.
Monitor & Inform Policy
We combine drones, field surveys, and community reporting to map habitat change and verify wildlife movement. Findings feed district and national corridor strategies, guiding investment and measuring impact over time.
